Hello!
My name is Troy Adams, I'm studying Computer Science at Abilene Christian University with a focus on Game Development, and I expect to graduate in December 2020. I want to be a game designer/developer/writer/programmer, and my dream is to be an indie developer. I have about four years of experience with Gamemaker Studio 1 and am learning 2, I'm a certified Unity developer, and I have project experience with programming languages such as C++, Java, and even Pixijs. Ever since I first dabbled in Gamemaker due to a recommendation from a church friend, I've been practicing game development with dozens of videogame projects, and am currently working on several projects that I hope to put on the market.
Every project I work on I strive for quality, trying to be aware of every bug or how the player will interact with and experience the game, and not try to sweep things under the rug - but face them. I suppose that's why a lot of my projects don't get finished - it takes a long time to make something by yourself that you're even close to proud of, but as my experience has grown I've been slowly able to finally make things that I think other people will enjoy. I'm mainly coding and design oriented, being limited by assets in terms of textures and sound, but I've started to build up those skills and find people who have those talents that I can draw from. Thank God for them! Two of the projects I'm working on this semester involve a team, and they constantly impress me!
Game development was my dream as a child, and I hope to show that my passion has not died down. |
